Watercolours for Beginners with Pauline Tofflemire

Join Orillia artist Pauline Tofflemire for a day of exploration with watercolours. Pauline will spend the morning covering the beginner basics of watercolours such as handling your brush, making marks & various washes. After lunch, you will start and complete a watercolour painting under Pauline's gentle guidance. All materials are supplied for this workshop. (There will be a break for lunch during this full-day workshop. You are welcome to bring lunch with you or pop out to one of the many local cafes to pick something up. Our catering kitchen is equipped with a fridge and microwave if needed.)  About the Instructor:Pauline started painting in oils in the early seventies and later began watercolour. She is mostly self-taught, although she has attended workshops with various artists in Northern and Southern Ontario. Pauline attended the LaCloche Country Art School in Whitefish Falls, Ontario every summer for twenty years. Pauline is a retired Funeral Director. She and her husband, Bill retired to Manitoulin Island in 2001 and recently moved to the Orillia area. For the last five years, she has taught watercolour and oil workshops and enjoys camaraderie and watching her students develop their talents."Everyone has creative abilities.
