Advanced Art for Tweens and Teens

** Please read the vaccination requirement details at the bottom of this page before registering for this program **If you are a tween or a teen (suggested ages are  12-15 but younger children will be considered upon request) and passionate about art, creativity, and self-expression, this art class is a perfect fit! In this small-sized, personalized art class for students, you will learn to deepen your knowledge of artistic techniques, strengthen your visual arts skills, develop your own unique style, and create your own art portfolio. This class will guide you every step of the way in creating winning artwork for your own enjoyment and, if you'd like, to use to build your own visual art portfolio.Through the encouraging, customized, and expert art instruction that Anitta Hamming is known for, students will receive tailor-made, structured guidance and inspiring art instruction according to their own needs, goals, and interests. Developing an art portfolio can feel overwhelming and intimidating, and often students and parents are not sure where to start. In this fun and engaging Painting, drawing, multi-medium Art Class, you will:• Develop a variety of high-quality, original artworks• Receive one-on-one, tailor-made art instruction, guidance, and feedback by a Professional Artist and Expert Art Instructor• Create quality paintings and artworks that exhibit a diversity of subject matter• Learn how to create artwork inspired by your own imagination and personal self-expression• Practice and learn new acrylic painting techniques to further your knowledge of colour mixing, paint application, texture, layering, composition,  brushwork, and moreAbout the instructor: Anitta Hamming is a Canadian artist who has spent much of her life painting and often chooses the 'everyday' as her subject matter.  In 2015, she relocated to Orillia and has been Internationally applauded for her recent "Intoxicated" series.  A juried member of the International Guild of Realism, the Federation of Canadian Artists as well as the Ontario Society of Artists, her paintings can be found in private collections around North America.   All of her original work explores her joy of realism, light, movement, and energy.  When asked about her inspiration and focus, she said, "I am always looking for the beauty, moods, spirituality, and metaphors in simple things. I love ordinary things. I seek to emphasize rhythms, lines, patterns, and colours to express my connection to the everyday world around me.  My best hope is that the images stand simply on their own, and find similar connections in the viewer."www.intoxicatingcanvas.comPrefer to register and pay in person? Our current hours are Monday - Friday 9 am - 5 pm.** Vaccination Requirement **As of September 22, 2021, Participants will need to be fully vaccinated (two doses plus 14 days) and provide their proof of vaccination along with photo ID, as per the Government of Ontario regulations.Individuals who cannot receive the vaccine due to medical exemptions will be permitted entry with a doctor’s note until recognized medical exemptions can be integrated as part of a digital vaccine certificate. Children who are 11 years of age and younger and unable to be vaccinated will also be exempted from these requirements.Individuals can provide proof of immunization by downloading or printing their vaccine receipt from the provincial booking portal, or by calling the Provincial Vaccine Booking Line at 1-833-943-3900Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made 7 days, or more in advance of the event date will receive a 100% refund. If a cancellation is made 7 days to 48 hours in advance, a full credit toward another class or event will be issued to your account. A credit will not be issued to cancellations made within 48 hours of the event, but you may transfer your ticket to a friend. If a class or program is cancelled or postponed, we will offer a full refund.
