Dance Balm was designed to celebrate the fusion between movement and music; a seamless blend of jazz, classical, Broadway, pop, gospel, world music and deeply grounding relaxation techniques. Dance Balm offers a safe and welcoming space for anyone who loves movement and music. No dance experience required. Seated or standing, all abilities and ranges of motion are welcome. Dance Balm is an in-person gathering of like-minded souls. Masks will be worn during class and all safety protocols are in place to ensure your comfort while participating in this and all workshops and classes at Creative Nomad Studios.About the instructor: Miriam Goldberger is the founding teacher and executive director of What Dance Can Do, a health-based arts organization in Central Ontario. Her passion is to share the joy of dance with those experiencing mobility challenges. She has a B.A. in Dance from Goucher College, has studied Dance Therapy at Lesley University in Boston and the Haliburton School of the Arts; Miriam founded Preggae Woman, Canada's first prenatal/postpartum movement and support program in Toronto and is an advanced Dance for Parkinson's instructor through Canada's National Ballet School and the Mark Morris Dance Group in NY. www.whatdancecando.ca
